About the Project

I have been working on the van Rooyen family tree for some years. It began with just researching my own line, but soon grew to include all the descendents of the progenitor Cornelis. A project documenting the descendents of Anthonie is being done by another researcher, Martie du Toit.

My name is Gina Shepherd. Genealogy is a passion that I have enjoyed for many years, and also practice professionally. I live in Johannesburg with my husband, daughter, three mad dogs and four hooligan cats.
